Dehradun: After the rains in Kedar Valley have reduced, Shri Kedarnath Dham Yatra has started coming back on track. The number of devotees coming for the Yatra is increasing continuously. The devotees who are overwhelmed by the darshan of Kedar Baba are looking satisfied with the travel arrangements and are sharing their pleasant experiences.
The devotees who reached Baba Kedarnath Dham from Guwahati told that the walking path has been repaired now and the journey is going on continuously. All the basic facilities including water, electricity, food, toilets are available on the walking path. Darshan is also going very well. Prafulla, who came from Rajkot Gujarat, told that the walking path is safe and smooth for the journey. All the facilities are also available on the travel route and full help is also being provided by the administration and police.
Sub-District Magistrate Ukhimath Anil Shukla told that due to heavy rains on 31st July, the walking path was definitely affected for a few days. But since the last two weeks, the number of pilgrims on foot has been increasing. Devotees from all over the world are arriving to have darshan of Baba Kedarnath. The district administration is making continuous efforts to make the journey pleasant and smooth. The washed out road between Sonprayag and Gaurikund will also be open for the movement of small vehicles within three to four days.
On the other hand, Inspector Sonprayag Devendra Aswal said that in the last 10 days, on an average, three thousand pilgrims are going to Kedarnath via the foot journey route. With the decrease in rains, the number of pilgrims is continuously increasing.
