A large number of tourists from outside are reaching the mountainous region of Kumaon division for the celebration and welcoming the New Year. In such a situation, all the tourists coming to the mountains have been asked to follow the traffic rules.
Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat said that operate your vehicles only on the basis of the route map prepared by the police administration. He said that Nainital has the most parking problem, in such a situation, if the parking system of the city is full, then tourists from outside should be stopped from entering the city. Apart from this, the police administration has been directed to take strict legal action against drunk drivers regarding drink and drive and racing driving. Also, taxi operators have been directed not to charge arbitrary fares from tourists coming from outside.
Operate taxi vehicles from the designated place only, otherwise strict action will be taken against them. Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat said that there is a possibility of bad weather in the mountains, so any tourist coming from outside should travel carefully on the mountains. Also, the district and police administration have been directed to open the road immediately in case of road closure due to rain. Relief and rescue work should be done immediately in case of road closure or any kind of problem.
Apart from this, the Nagar Palika and District Panchayat have been directed to make arrangements for bonfires at various places to avoid the cold. All resort and hotel operators have also been directed to play the sound system as per the standards and rules during the celebration.
