Dehradun: Letter of Intent (LOI) was signed between Uttarakhand Government and German based Innovation Hub Rhine-Main at the Chief Minister’s residence on Friday in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Its objective is to connect the skilled youth of Uttarakhand with areas like health, automobile, vocational training, hydrogen and renewable energy technology, innovation based startups in Germany.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that this is a good initiative towards connecting the youth of Uttarakhand with employment. He said that there is no dearth of talent in Uttarakhand. The state government is paying special attention to the skill development of the youth. The youth of the state are also being linked to skill development on the basis of demand from various countries. He said that along with the skill development of the youth of the state, the state government has also made arrangements for training in foreign languages. Continuous efforts are being made by the government to connect the youth with employment. After being given skill development and foreign language training, many youths of the state are getting jobs abroad.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bahuguna, Principal Secretary R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretary Shailesh Bagauli, Vinay Shankar Pandey, C. Ravishankar, German delegation comprising Raunheim city mayor David Rendel, Germany’s Foreign Investment Cell Advisor Saurabh Bhagat and Innovation Hub Rhine-Maine CEO Stefan Wittekind were present.
