Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has instructed the police department to take immediate strict action by running a comprehensive drive in collaboration with the administration against foreign intruders living illegally in the state on the basis of fake certificates (fake Aadhar cards etc.). He has also instructed to take strict action against those who help such intruders in making fake certificates. Along with this, CM Dhami also instructed to take strict action against the drug mafia and made it clear to the police officers that maintaining the trust of the people of the state is our top priority.
Instructions to SP-SSP to conduct public hearing in police stations
CM Dhami gave strict instructions to the officers that Uttarakhand Police has to maintain friendly behavior with the general public while also maintaining fear among the criminals. The CM said that Uttarakhand is known as a peaceful state in the country and around the world. But the police administration will have to be cautious that criminal elements do not consider it their safe haven and do not misuse the peaceful image of the state. The CM directed that the police will have to make necessary changes in their work culture and talk to the public. The CM has instructed all the SSPs and SPs of the state to hold public hearings in police stations. So that the common man can get immediate justice.
Instructions to build a helipad at Kainchi Dham within 10 days
On the occasion of the state level police seminar, in a marathon meeting that lasted for more than three hours till late Thursday night at the Police Headquarters, Dehradun, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took an update on the status of their department from the Director General of Police to all the SPs-SSPs. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami took an update on the parking and traffic arrangements of Kainchi Dham from the Nainital SSP and directed the concerned officials to make arrangements for a helipad at Kainchi Dham within the next 10 days. CM Dhami said that he himself will reach this helipad after 10 days. Along with this, instructions have been given to immediately submit proposals for parking and other tourism development works at Kainchi Dham.
Instructions to police personnel to improve work culture
Taking strict cognizance of the cases of delayed registration of FIRs in cyber crimes, the Chief Minister also summoned the report of reporting and actions taken so far in cyber cases from the officials. He has given strict instructions for immediate action in these cases. Along with this, the CM also directed to run public awareness and awareness campaigns regarding cyber crime. Giving strict instructions to the police department to improve the work culture at all levels, CM Dhami has instructed the Director General of Police that if any police personnel is found involved in illegal action including land cases at the police station level, then strict action should be taken against him immediately. There is no place for any kind of negligence in this.
Action to establish forensic lab accelerated
Chief Minister Dhami has given instructions to develop residential facilities around the police stations for the convenience of police personnel. He directed to complete the action of modernization of police stations as soon as possible. Along with this, the CM summoned the report of the status of CCTV cameras in Dehradun and directed to assess the requirements of CCTV across the state and submit the report as soon as possible. The Chief Minister directed the Home Secretary and DGP to immediately coordinate with the Government of India regarding the establishment of the proposed forensic lab in Udham Singh Nagar.
Information of adopted police stations
The Chief Minister also inquired from all the SSPs and SPs about the status of the police stations adopted by them. Also instructed to continue the improvement work by continuously inspecting the status of the adopted police stations. In view of the tourist season, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the officials to immediately hold a meeting with the Transport Department regarding the arrangement of temporary parking and starting shuttle service in Nainital. The Chief Minister said that during the travel season, the officers should establish such a great model in traffic system and parking system so that their system is considered in the best practices and is also adopted by other states.
The CM directed to make arrangements for the collection of all types of data including passengers during the tourist season and Chardham Yatra. The CM has clarified that policy is most important in planning and making other strategies. Its systematic collection is necessary. He has also given instructions to arrange display boards and SMS for information about traffic arrangements on the further routes on all important routes including Chardham routes.
