Chief Minister Acts After Internal Clashes & Public Incidents

The reshuffle was triggered by two separate incidents

  • In Datia, an internal altercation during arrangements for the airport inauguration ceremony on May 31 reportedly occurred between the IG, DIG, and SP, in front of BJP workers and the public.
  • In Katni, SP Abhijeet Ranjan was involved in a controversy stemming from a domestic dispute between Tehsildar Shailendra Bihari Sharma and his wife, CSP Khyati Mishra, which resulted in public unrest and statewide attention.

Taking to social media platform X, CM Yadav declared the officers’ conduct “regrettable in public service” and stated that such behaviour was unacceptable from public servants. He ordered their immediate removal, with transfer orders issued within an hour.
