In Haldwani, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inquired about the condition of the injured of the bus accident admitted in Sushila Tiwari Hospital. Let us tell you that on Wednesday, 25 December, a Uttarakhand Roadways bus coming from Pithoragarh to Haldwani had crashed in Bhimtal area of Nainital district. The bus fell into a gorge about 100 meters deep. At the time of the accident, there were about 29 people in the bus, out of which four people died on the spot, while 25 people were injured.
Among the injured, 24 were admitted to Sushila Tiwari Hospital and one to a private hospital. A patient admitted in Sushila Tiwari Hospital Haldwani died today. Another patient was airlifted and referred to AIIMS Rishikesh on Thursday. The government has announced financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of those who died in the accident and Rs 2.5 lakh to the seriously injured. Apart from this, the general injured will be given assistance of Rs 15 to 25 thousand.
