Pithoragarh. The anger among the people in the border district is not stopping on the decision of the Supreme Court to acquit the main accused who carried out the kidnapping, rape and murder of Nanhi Kali of Pithoragarh.
On Sunday evening, a BJP delegation met the relatives on the Nanhi Kali case. During this, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami spoke to the victim’s father over the phone and assured that the state government is fully standing with them.
CM gave assurance
The Chief Minister told the family that the state government will make every effort to file a review petition in the High Court by taking legal opinion from the Justice Department and senior lawyers on this matter and having a detailed discussion at the Chief Minister’s residence.
