Dehradun: When Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the National Games on January 28, all the teams will have to enter the stadium four hours before his arrival, so that there is no hindrance in the march past of the players. In view of the security arrangements of the Prime Minister, instructions regarding the march past were given in the meeting of Games Technical Conduct Committee (GTCC), Chef de Mission and Sports Officials. It was ensured that GTCC will work keeping in mind the suggestions of Chef de Mission.
According to sources, during this time there was also a discussion about the leadership of the march past. It is almost certain that badminton player Lakshya Sen, who has hoisted the flag of Uttarakhand in the country and the world, will lead the march past. Other Olympian players and senior medal winners of the state will join him. Official information in the name of Sen can be released soon.
Visited Parade Ground and Maharana Pratap Stadium
The Chef de Mission (Chief Sports Coordinator of the State) of all the states participating in the National Games are currently active in Dehradun. About 20 Chef de Missions have come to Dehradun and 10 others are connected online. All of them took stock of the preparations of the sports venues of Parade Ground and Maharana Pratap Stadium on Wednesday.
During the two-day meeting, the accommodation of the players, issuance of recognition letters, other arrangements, food etc. were reviewed. GTCC President Sunaina Kumari and other members were present in the meeting.

Chef de Missions of all the states have visited the sports venues in Dehradun and inspected the preparations. Everyone has expressed satisfaction about the preparations, preparations at some venues including athletics track, shooting are in the final stages, they will be completed soon. With this, the state is ready for a grand event of the Games. Along with achieving the pride of organizing the 38th National Games, the players of the state will get international level infrastructure in all the sports.
