Dehradun: On the pretext of the 38th National Games, Uttarakhand has started preparing a database of volunteers. The way the atmosphere of big events is being created in Uttarakhand, the need for a database is being felt. The Sports Department has started taking necessary steps for this.
These days the process of registration of volunteers is going on in relation to the National Games. All the people who register will be given a certificate. Two to two and a half thousand volunteers who will be selected will be given training. Later they will be issued a separate certificate of National Games. The selected volunteer will also be given TA/DA. After the registration is completed, the selection process will be started.
In fact, the officers of the Sports Department believe that preparing a database of volunteers on the pretext of this mega event will be useful for the future. Uttarakhand has organised big and successful events like Investor Summit, G-20 Summit in recent times. Amidst the atmosphere being created for big events, the need for human resources in the future is being felt. Keeping this in mind, steps are now being taken to prepare a database.
Volunteer registration reaches 30 thousand
– People’s enthusiasm to become volunteers during the National Games remains intact. So far 30 thousand people have registered. Only two to two and a half thousand volunteers are required for the National Games. A large number of those who have registered are also girl students and women.
Volunteers will play an important role in making all kinds of arrangements during the National Games. Our effort is to prepare a volunteer database during this event. In this sequence, complete details of the concerned person should be available with us. We will provide necessary information to every person who registers. We will tell what kind of role a volunteer plays. After the data base is ready, whenever there is a need for volunteers for a big event in the future, they will be easily available.
