Dehradun: The Chief Minister welcomed the newly elected executive members of Uttaranchal Press Club and congratulated all the officials. He said that the media plays an important role in taking the schemes and policies of the government to the public. Journalism is the mirror of society. Along with increasing public awareness about the schemes and policies of the government, the media also makes the government aware of the problems and suggestions of the public. Media plays an important role as the fourth pillar of democracy. He hoped that Uttaranchal Press Club will regularly carry out the work of disseminating the government’s schemes and policies to the general public.
