Delhi: Noida’s Sector-21 stadium transformed into a ‘mini Uttarakhand’ today, Saturday. The occasion was ‘Mahakauthig’, where the folk art, folk culture, and traditional cuisine of Devbhoomi were on full display. The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, and Noida MP Dr. Mahesh Sharma were the chief guests at this festival celebrating Uttarakhand’s heritage.
Folk culture shines at Mahakauthig: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami meticulously inspected every stall at the fair. Addressing the public from the stage, he said that programs like Mahakauthig not only keep our folk heritage alive but also provide a large platform for artists.
Expatriate Uttarakhandis are true brand ambassadors of the state’s culture: CM Dhami said that expatriate Uttarakhandis are the true brand ambassadors of the state’s culture, who remain connected to their roots even while living far from the state. The Uttarakhand Mahakauthig, which has been continuously organized for 15 years, has become a powerful platform for giving widespread recognition to folk art, folk music, traditional heritage, and Pahari products. Such events not only play a significant role in the preservation and promotion of Uttarakhand’s cultural heritage but also serve to unite Uttarakhandi brothers and sisters from various regions.
CM Dhami delivers a strong message: Amidst the cultural festivities, Chief Minister Dhami also delivered a strong message regarding the security and identity of Devbhoomi. Speaking on the ‘land encroachment’ taking place in the state, the Chief Minister made it clear that the days of encroachers are over.
The Chief Minister stated unequivocally that large-scale land encroachment has taken place in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. This had never been seen before; he addressed the issue after assuming responsibility. Legal notices were sent. Requests were made to remove the encroachments, and action was taken against those who did not comply. This campaign will continue. At the end of his address, CM Dhami reiterated his resolve to remove encroachments on land and said that no harm to the ‘divinity’ of Devbhoomi (Land of Gods) would be tolerated. Uttarakhand wants values, not hatred; unity, not division, and the government’s objective is to make Devbhoomi Uttarakhand the best state in the country.
