Northern States meeting of Civil Aviation, Union Minister Naidu attended, CM made a big point

Dehradun: Regional conference on civil aviation has been started from Uttarakhand. Although a total of five conferences are to be held across the country, but for the Northern States, a conference related to this has been held in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. During this, along with telling the efforts made so far, important things in the coming time were also put forth in the conference.

Efforts are being made to increase domestic air services across the country including Uttarakhand. The effort is to connect as many areas as possible by air, so that the access of tourists or common people to these areas can be made easy. During the Northern Region Conference, ministers or representatives of a total of seven states of North India participated, while representatives of three Union Territories also participated in it.

Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said that in the last 10 years, civil aviation has also got a growth of up to 10% at the domestic level. The big thing is that India has become the third country in the world with a domestic civil aviation network. It is clear from this that regional air services are being increased in the states under various efforts including the rapid UDAN scheme.

During the conference, experts related to civil aviation also gave information about various possibilities while giving presentations. It was told that so far 625 RCS routes have been connected under the UDAN scheme in the country. More than 1.53 crore passengers have taken advantage of this scheme so far. Not only this, the UDAN scheme will also be updated to give the benefit of air service to 4 crore passengers in the next 10 years. Tomorrow 120 areas will be connected under this scheme.

Trained personnel working in civil aviation were also talked to in the conference. It was said that the need for human resources in pilots, technicians, ground staff and air traffic control will be met by trained personnel. It was informed that efforts are being made to increase the number of airports from 162 to 350 to 400 by 2047. While more than 45000 technicians will also be needed for its maintenance. For this, the states will have to open their own training institutes.

Helicopter Emergency Medical Service was also discussed in the conference. It was told that Project Sanjeevani has been started to promote medical heli service. The aim is to provide medical services to remote areas and so far more than 65 successful relief and rescue operations have been completed.

With regard to Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the way Uttarakhand has been chosen among the northern states for the first conference, it is clear that the border areas are being given priority for air services. The state government is also making efforts on this. In such a situation, how the central government can cooperate with the states in this has also been considered.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the way air incidents are happening in Uttarakhand, a special policy should be made for the hilly states. However, he said that the state government is making efforts for this, but efforts should be made technically and seriously for which help from the Centre is needed.
