NTA crackdown: DG Appoint escape goat just before first session of Parliament, PS Kharola is ad-hoc DG

New Delhi (23.06.2024): Amid paper leak controversy and the first session of 18th  Parliament starting from Monday, the government has removed National Testing Agency (NTA) Director General Subodh Kumar Singh (IAS: 1987: CG) replacing him with Pradeep Singh Kharola (IAS: 1985: KN) by giving him its additional charge. Kharola is serving as Chairman and Managing Director of India Trade Promotion Organisation.

But the decision of changing NTA DG is being seen an eyewash as it is being accused that removal of NTA DG is to save Pradeep Kumar Joshi. Joshi was appointed its Chairman in August 2023 who had earlier served as Chairman of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh State Public Service Commission and also member UPSC and its Chairman
