On the instructions of CM Dhami, preparations for Kumbh 2027 started, Health Department prepared a master plan, Departmental Secretary said – 2924 beds will be reserved in hospitals

Dehradun: The government has started preparations to make the Ardh Kumbh Mela to be held in Haridwar in the year 2027 divine and grand. The concerned departments are preparing their action plans regarding the Ardh Kumbh Mela. In the same sequence, the Health Department has also prepared a detailed action plan keeping in mind the convenience and safety of the pilgrims coming to the Ardh Kumbh Mela. A budget of about Rs 54 crore has been proposed for the Health Department. With which both permanent and temporary works will be done.

CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the Ardh Kumbh of the year 2027 will be organized in a ‘divine and grand’ form. Kumbh is not only a symbol of religious faith, but also a glimpse of the culture, tradition and prosperity of Uttarakhand. In such a situation, the state government is making every effort to provide better facilities to the pilgrims. All the agencies of the government and administration are working together. So that no devotee is deprived of health services. CM Dhami said that his priority is that every pilgrim coming to Ardh Kumbh returns with a safe, healthy and satisfied experience.

Health Secretary R Rajesh Kumar said that 2924 beds, 40 ambulances, new hospital buildings and modern machines have been planned so that no devotee coming to the fair feels any lack of medical facilities. As part of the preparations for Kumbh, the health department will get permanent and temporary works done. About Rs 54 crore is expected to be spent on these works. Out of this, Rs 6.83 crore will be spent on permanent works and Rs 37.65 crore on temporary works.

During Kumbh, 35 temporary hospitals will have the facility of 373 beds. 1101 beds will be reserved for pilgrims in 13 government hospitals of the Kumbh area. Along with this, 1450 beds will also be arranged in all private hospitals. To further strengthen the health system of the Kumbh Mela, the department is also expanding the scope of ambulance and food safety services. Out of the total 40 ambulances, 16 ambulances are already available with the department, while 24 new ambulances will be purchased. These will include both advanced life support and basic life support ambulances.

Not only this, keeping in mind the safety of food of the devotees, the department will also buy three new food safety vans. With the help of these vans, the quality of food items sold in the fair area will be regularly checked, so that the health of any pilgrim is not compromised. The Health Secretary said that during Kumbh, the Health Department will also do permanent nature works in Haridwar. Four vehicles will be purchased at a cost of 54 lakhs. Apart from this, a drug wire house will also be built near the CMO office in Roshanabad at a cost of 1.20 crores.

The drug wire house of the Health Department will be built in Roshanabad itself. It will have 6 rooms, two halls and a store. On which about 80 lakh rupees will be spent. The Health Secretary said that during the fair, the department needs 60 vehicles. Out of these, four vehicles will be purchased by the department, while the other vehicles will be hired. A large number of pilgrims will come to Haridwar during the fair. In such a situation, the department has also prepared a plan for the prevention of infectious diseases. Under this, five mountable fogging machines will be purchased at a cost of 25 lakhs for spraying in the fair area. Apart from this, 35 portable fogging machines will be purchased. On which 18 lakh rupees will be spent.

The Health Secretary said that an ultrasound machine with Doppler facility will be purchased at Bhupatwala Hospital at a cost of Rs 15 lakh. Apart from this, the facility of X-ray CR machine will also be provided in this hospital at a cost of Rs 18 lakh. In such a situation, health preparations for the Kumbh Mela are being done continuously. For this, the entire team is working continuously under the leadership of Kumbh Mela Officer Dr. Manoj Verma.
