On the occasion of Diwali and State Foundation Day, there will be better arrangements for cleanliness, security, health, traffic across the state – CM Dhami

Dehradun: During the meeting in the Secretariat, the Chief Minister directed that special attention should be paid to traffic management on the festival of Diwali. It should be ensured that people do not face any kind of problem in commuting. The fire department should make adequate arrangements of fire vehicles to prevent fire incidents on Diwali. Along with keeping all emergency arrangements, the health department should keep the burn unit in a smooth condition for 24 hours. The Chief Minister has also given instructions to do regular sampling of food items to prevent adulteration of food items during festivals. He said that strict action should be taken against the concerned if adulteration, spitting incidents and deficiency in quality are found in food items. Regarding the preparations for the State Foundation Day, the Chief Minister directed all the District Magistrates to run a special campaign for cleanliness in all the urban and rural areas of the districts. Public cooperation should also be taken in this. Along with cleanliness, work should be done towards beautification in rural and urban areas. He said that cleanliness should be made a public program. Various programs will be organized in the state from 06 to 12 November to commemorate the State Foundation Day. He directed that in view of Diwali and State Foundation Day, strong security arrangements should be made on the interstate and international borders of the state. The Chief Minister said that we are entering the silver jubilee year of the state. To bring Uttarakhand in the category of leading states of the country, we all have to work with the spirit of Team Uttarakhand.

On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Premchand Agarwal, Vice President Infrastructure Monitoring Council Vishwas Dabur, Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi, Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Nitesh Jha, Chandresh Yadav, ADG AP Anshuman, Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, all District Magistrates and SSPs were present through virtual medium.
