On Voter’s Day, Secretariat officers and employees completed 26 km race with the national flag

Dehradun: Under the aegis of Secretariat Athletics and Fitness Club and Election Commission of India, the officers and employees of the Secretariat family completed a 26 km race with the national flag on the eve of Republic Day at 5:30 pm. The race started from Secretariat Gate No. 1 and went to Malsi Chowk Balawala and ended back at the Secretariat.

The race was started by Deputy Chief Electoral Officer Mastudas by showing the green flag. The main objective of the race was to make voters aware on Voter Awareness Day and to further strengthen the love for the nation and national spirit in the early hours of the auspicious occasion of Republic Day.

On this occasion club president Lalit Chandra Joshi, general secretary Rajendra Prasad Joshi, advisor Jeevan Singh Bisht, treasurer Dinesh Singh Ghinga, Dr Ravindra Singh Rana, Reena Shahi, Godavari Rawat along with runners above 70 years of age like Roopchand Gupta, Harshman Bhatt and many other members were present.
