In this sequence, on Tuesday, Principal Secretary Chief Minister RK Sudhanshu has issued orders to the Secretary Tourism, directing him to start action in this direction as soon as possible. This will especially include such pilgrimage sites where more pilgrims come. The Divisional Commissioners of both the divisions have been asked to take special cooperation in the preparation and implementation of the master plan. Also, clear orders have been given that if there is illegal encroachment on the routes of pilgrimage sites, then they should be removed on priority basis.

The master plan will include

Crowd control system

Development of carrying capacity

Separate entry and exit routes

Additional space for waiting

Emergency evacuation system

Clean drinking water, toilets, first aid

Well-organized information and guidance system

Parking arrangement

Deployment of adequate security forces

Every year crores of pilgrims come to Uttarakhand. Therefore, a master plan of all the pilgrimage sites will be made for the safety and convenience of the pilgrims. While developing public facilities around the pilgrimage sites, the journey will be made more organized.
