Pahalgam terror attack, action to identify Pakistani citizens in Uttarakhand intensified, CM Dhami gave instructions to DGP

Dehradun: After the Pahalgam terror attack, India has taken several major steps against Pakistan. After 5 tough decisions including suspending the Indus Water Treaty 1960 with immediate effect and asking Pakistanis to leave India within 48 hours, these decisions have started affecting the Pakistani government. In this sequence, the Uttarakhand government has also taken a big step and intensified the action to identify Pakistani citizens in the state.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given information by posting on his X account. He wrote that,

‘After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, in the sequence of decisions taken in the meeting of CCS (Cabinet Committee on Security) under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the action to identify Pakistani citizens in the state has been intensified. The Director General of Police has been instructed to ensure prompt action to identify Pakistani citizens and send them back.’

According to sources, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to the Chief Ministers of all states on Friday and asked them to ensure that no Pakistani citizen stays in India beyond the time limit set for leaving the country.

It is noteworthy that on Tuesday, 22 April, terrorists of The Resistance Front (TRF), a mask of terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, opened fire in Baisaran ground of Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. 26 people were killed in this terrorist attack. Most of them were tourists.
