Pilgrims will be able to register offline from today, counters have been set up here including Haridwar-Rishikesh

Haridwar: Pilgrims planning the Chardham Yatra will be able to register offline from today. For this, registration counters will open at 7 am in Haridwar, Rishikesh, Herbertpur, Vikasnagar. So far 21.55 lakh pilgrims have registered online.

The Chardham Yatra is starting from April 30. The doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham will open on Akshaya Tritiya. While the doors of Kedarnath will open on May 2 and Badrinath Dham on May 4. This time 60 percent registrations were done online. The government has made arrangements to do 40 percent registration offline for the convenience of the devotees.

30 registration counters were set up at Rishikesh, the entry gates of the Chardham Yatra routes, 20 in Haridwar, 15 in Herbertpur and Vikasnagar. Where pilgrims can register for the journey.

Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj said that registration is mandatory for those coming on the Char Dham Yatra. Devotees have been given the facility of online and offline registration. Offline registration will start from April 28.
