PM Modi listened to the success stories of entrepreneurs, youth, and rural women and delivered a special message

Dehradun: Prime Minister Narendra Modi listened to the success stories of youth involved in startups, women’s support groups, and rural women in Dehradun. He also offered his suggestions during the interaction. He encouraged the youth to become job creators.

At the Silver Jubilee celebrations held at the Forest Research Institute (FRI) in Dehradun, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the public and also interacted with villagers, women, and youth from across the state who were doing excellent work in various fields. Some were promoting regional products, while others were doing excellent work in agriculture and horticulture.

Among these young people are working tirelessly to advance their startups. Manju Sharma, a resident of Rishikesh, was one of those who met the Prime Minister. Manju began her career as a guide in 2001 and subsequently progressed to a tour leader. Currently, Manju also runs a travel agency. Significantly, she is introducing foreign guests from various countries to Uttarakhand’s culture and tourism.

“I strive to connect foreign guests with yoga and eco-tourism in Uttarakhand. Currently, I am also taking foreign visitors to tribal communities to connect them with the environment. Prime Minister Modi told us about the immense potential in Uttarakhand and encouraged us to do more in the areas of adventure activities and destination weddings.” – Manju Sharma, Entrepreneur

Similarly, Swatantra Badani, who works in agriculture and meditation and distributes her products to the state and various states through a women’s self-help group, also met with the Prime Minister. She briefed PM Modi on her work in the Uttarkashi region. PM Modi also encouraged Swatantra Badani and all her colleagues to become job creators instead of job seekers.

“I come from the remote Uttarkashi district. I work there on the production of apples and red rice. I briefed PM Modi on my work.” – Swatantra Badani, a woman with a women’s support group.

Abhishek, a young man from Garhwal, shared his tourism work during his meeting with the Prime Minister. He runs homestays and resorts and is now considering expanding his work to other districts. Abhishek shared his experiences during his interaction with PM Modi.

“One thing Prime Minister Modi said is inspiring me to move forward and work towards winter tourism. In it, PM Modi said that Uttarakhand should have 12-month tourism and it has immense potential. So now, I will try to work on what can be improved in winter tourism, beyond pilgrimage and six-month tourism.” – Abhishek, Entrepreneur

Similarly, Nupur Agarwal in Dehradun, after meeting the Prime Minister, says, “Uttarakhand is not only about brainpower, but also about muscle power.” While the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) here produces IAS officers for the country, the Indian Military Academy (IMA) is making a supreme contribution to the country’s defense, she is confident that Uttarakhand, with its one percent population, will now become a startup state.

While meeting entrepreneurs, the Prime Minister placed special emphasis on beekeeping in Uttarakhand and highlighted the need to work in the honey business. The Prime Minister suggested producing various types of honey and other products through beekeeping. Shubham Rana, who works in this field, also shared his experiences.
