Dehradun: PM Modi visited Uttarakhand today. During his visit, he participated in the main event of Uttarakhand State Foundation Day in Dehradun. In his address, PM Modi praised the Dhami government and praised its policies.
PM Modi said that the Dhami government in Uttarakhand has adopted bold policies on issues of national interest, such as the anti-conversion law and the riot control law. The Dhami government has also taken action on rapidly emerging issues in the state, such as land grabbing and demographic change. PM Modi also mentioned the UCC in his address. He said that the seriousness with which the Pushkar Singh Dhami government in Uttarakhand implemented the UCC is an example for other states.
PM Modi said that 25 years ago, when Uttarakhand was newly formed, there were many challenges. Resources were limited, the budget was small, and sources of income were few, but today the picture has completely changed. He said we need to focus on the hidden potential in Uttarakhand.
PM Modi said the Uttarakhand government is now providing grants to apple and kiwi farmers in digital currency. Tracking financial assistance is becoming possible through modern technology. I commend the state government, the RBI, and all stakeholders for this. He added that today, projects worth more than ₹2 lakh crore are underway in Uttarakhand. The Dehradun-Delhi Expressway is almost ready. The foundation stone of the Govindghat Ropeway has been laid. These projects are giving new impetus to the state’s development.
PM Modi said Uttarakhand has seen growth in many sectors such as infrastructure, education, industry, tourism, health, power, and rural development. PM Modi said the Government of India always stands with the Uttarakhand government. We will always be ready to support you. I wish every citizen of Uttarakhand a bright future.
