New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today highlighted many topics including yoga in the 123rd episode of his popular radio program Mann Ki Baat. People wait for a month to listen to his Mann Ki Baat. This program is very much liked in the country and the world. The objective of this program is to inspire the youth to be self-reliant and to be involved in the progress of the country.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi mentioned the World Yoga Day organized on 21 June. He said that the grandeur of yoga is increasing. Millions of people across the country and the world participated in the International Yoga Day celebrations. It started 10 years ago. In these 10 years, every year their tradition has grown more than ever. This shows that more and more people are adopting yoga in their lives.
This time we have seen many attractive pictures of Yoga Day. Three lakh people did yoga together on the beach of Visakhapatnam. Another amazing scene has emerged from here. More than two thousand tribal students did 108 Surya Namaskars for 108 minutes. Imagine how much discipline and dedication there must have been.
A grand glimpse of yoga was also seen on naval ships. Three thousand Divyang colleagues did yoga together in Telangana. They showed how yoga is a medium of empowerment. The people of Delhi connected yoga with the resolution of clean Yamuna and did yoga on the banks of Yamuna. People also did yoga at Chenab Bridge in Jammu and Kashmir, which is the world’s highest railway bridge.
ITBP soldiers also did yoga on the snowy peaks of the Himalayas. The people of Gujarat created history. 2121 people did Bhujangasana together in Vadnagar and created a new record. Pictures of yoga emerged from every major city of the world including New York, London, Tokyo, Paris. Peace, stability and balance were seen in every picture. This time the theme was also very special. Yoga for One Earth One Health i.e. ‘One Earth-One Health’ is not just a slogan, it is a direction that makes us realize Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
PM Modi had mentioned terrorism in the earlier episode. He told about Operation Sindoor. Along with this, he also highlighted the steps taken for the conservation of lions and the increasing participation of women as forest officers.
