PM Modi’s aerial survey canceled due to bad weather, high-level meeting held at the airport itself, know what happened

Dehradun: PM Modi was to conduct an aerial survey of the disaster-affected areas of Uttarakhand today. For this, PM Modi reached Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. Meanwhile, the weather turned bad. Due to which PM Modi’s aerial survey of the disaster-affected areas had to be canceled. PM Modi was to conduct an aerial inspection of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Tehri and Pauri. After the aerial tour was canceled, PM Modi inquired from CM Dhami about the damage caused in the disaster-affected areas. Also, PM Modi met the people of the disaster-affected area at the State Guest House of Jolly Grant Airport.

 

During this, PM Modi spoke to the disaster victims. In which PM Modi took detailed information about their conditions. PM Modi assured all possible help to the disaster victims. During this, CM Dhami was also present with PM Modi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also interacted with the personnel of NDRF, SDRF and other agencies engaged in disaster relief operations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Uttarakhand’s SDRF and said that the state faces disaster every year. In such a situation, the way Uttarakhand has created a separate disaster management department force from the police department is commendable.

 

After talking to the disaster victims as well as people from all agencies, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also held a meeting with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan, GP Disaster Management Department officials and members of the team from the Center. It is being told that on the basis of the conclusions drawn from this meeting, the central government can announce an economic package to Uttarakhand.

 

After the cancellation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit, a complete photo gallery was put up by the Disaster Management Department at the visit site of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In which the damaged villages struggling with the disaster, broken roads, information related to relief and rescue work, the reality of Chardham Yatra routes were shown to the PM through photos. Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan gave a complete presentation related to the disaster to the PM. After this, PM Modi left for Delhi by army plane.

Major disasters have occurred in Uttarakhand: Let us tell you that this year disasters have occurred in many districts of Uttarakhand. First of all, on August 5, disaster came from Kheerganga Gad in Dharali of Uttarkashi district. The flood in Kheerganga brought with it big boulders, trees and debris. The debris and flood destroyed Dharali village and surrounding areas. All the hotels, shops and houses of Dharali market were buried under the debris. It would not be an exaggeration to say that Dharali market was completely destroyed. A large number of missing people are still missing.

Major damage caused by disaster in Pauri: On August 6, disaster occurred in Pauri Garhwal district. Landslides occurred due to heavy rains in Village Saanji, Patti Bali Kandarsyun and Village Raidul, Patti Padulsyun of Pauri tehsil. Many residential buildings were destroyed in this natural disaster. Agricultural land also suffered heavy damage. Many people were also missing in the Pauri disaster, who have not been traced yet.

 

The disaster also disrupted life in Tharali: After this, a natural disaster occurred in Tharali of Chamoli district on 23 August. Heavy rains and landslides caused a lot of damage in Kotdip, Radibag, Upper Bazaar, Kulsari, Chepdo, Sagwara and other parts of Tharali. A young woman died due to heavy rains and landslides. One person went missing. Rescue operations went on in Tharali for several days. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself had reached Tharali.

 

Let us tell you that the state has suffered a lot of financial loss due to rain and disaster in Uttarakhand. In view of which the Uttarakhand government has demanded an economic package of ₹ 5702 crore from the Center. For this, a memorandum has also been submitted to the Home Ministry. Which has a complete report of the economic loss of the state. A team of the Central Government has also returned after taking stock of the damage. Now PM Modi has taken information about the disaster affected areas. After which the state is expected to get big financial assistance.
