‘Pride Moments’ program organized in Dehradun to honor the contributions of the Sashastra Seema Bal; CM Dhami participates as Chief Guest

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated as the chief guest in the Pride Movement felicitation ceremony organized by the Arpit Foundation at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office in Dehradun on Sunday. On this occasion, the Chief Minister honored the officers and jawans of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and praised their courage, dedication, and spirit of service to the nation.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the Sashastra Seema Bal has ensured the security of the country for the past six decades by working with indomitable courage and dedication in areas such as internal security, border management, counter-terrorism, counter-insurgency, and disaster management. He said that while the SSB personnel are vigilant day and night in protecting the national borders, they are also making outstanding contributions in sports, social causes, and disaster relief operations.

The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is rapidly moving towards self-reliance in the defense sector, and today India is among the leading countries exporting defense equipment. He said that the world has seen and appreciated the power of India’s indigenous weapons through Operation Sindoor. The Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously taking new decisions for the welfare of the soldiers of the army and paramilitary forces and their families. The ex-gratia amount given to the families of martyrs has been increased from Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 50 lakh, and the honorarium given to soldiers decorated with gallantry medals has also been increased.

The Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, special efforts are being made towards the development and empowerment of our border villages under the Vibrant Villages Program. A comprehensive network of roads is being built in the border areas, which has not only facilitated movement in the border regions but has also given new strength to tourism, trade, and strategic development. He said that Modi ji himself visits the border areas, interacts with the local citizens and security forces, understands their problems, and takes decisive steps towards development. On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, Swami Kailashanand Ji Maharaj, DIG SSB Sudhanshu Nautiyal, Mrs. Honey Pathak from Arpit Foundation, and SSB personnel were present.
