Professor Venkat Ramanna Reddy becomes the new director of NIT Uttarakhand, will handle additional responsibilities

Srinagar: National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand (NIT) has got a new director. Professor B Venkata Ramanna Reddy will be the new director of NIT Uttarakhand. He will have additional charge of NIT Uttarakhand. He is also currently holding the post of Director of NIT Kurukshetra.

Originally from Andhra Pradesh, Prof. Venkata Ramanna Reddy has been contributing in the field of education for the last 30 years. Before this, he had worked as Dean School of Information and Communication Department, USICT. Dean of the University of Architecture and Planning, has also served as the Chairman of the University Information Center UIRC. More than 100 research papers have been published in his name in international and national journals.

Pro. 21 students have done PhD under the guidance of Reddy

Pro. Reddy has been working in the field of wireless communication for a long time, which includes mobile, adhoc, sensor based networks, computer communication networks, semiconductor. He has produced 21 PhD students so far. He has been a member of various committees constituted by AICTE, UGC, NAAC, NIC. Apart from this, he has also visited the university located in Singapore, China.

Former director Lalit Kumar Awasthi returned to his original appointment.

It may be noted that on May 7, former Director of NIT Uttarakhand, Professor Lalit Kumar Awasthi had returned to his original appointment in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. Former Director of National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand (NIT UK), Prof. During his farewell, Lalit Kumar Awasthi organized a ‘Director’s Dinner’ for the employees of the institute and the fourth year B.Tech students. Apart from this, he was given an emotional farewell.

Posts being filled in NIT Uttarakhand

Registrar of NIT Uttarakhand, HM Azad said that the process of appointment of Group A, B, C is currently going on in the institute. These appointments are to be made on a total of 16 posts. After which a release will be issued regarding the appointment of teachers. Also, NIT Uttarakhand is working on the construction of a new campus.
