Promotion of 12 IPS officers of Uttarakhand will be approved soon, additional posts have been created, see list

Dehradun: The wait for the promotion of many IPS officers in Uttarakhand is going to end. Actually, the Home Department has created ex-cadre posts to promote 12 IPS officers after DPC. With which, a DPC meeting is expected to be held in the first month of the new year for the promotion of IPS officers.

The Home Department has completed its homework for the promotion of IPS officers in the state and the date of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting is going to be decided soon. Actually, promotion is to be done for various ranks in the state. In which a total of 12 IPS will be able to get the benefit of promotion. The special thing is that the Home Department has also created additional ex-cadre posts for this.

DPC to be held for these ranks in the state

A possible DPC meeting is going to be held for various ranks in the state in the month of January itself. In this, two IPS officers will be promoted to DG rank, while preparations are on to promote five officers to IG level. Apart from this, two officers will get promoted to DIG rank, while 3 SP rank officers will reach SSP level. With this, these officers will be entitled to wear two stars with an Ashoka symbol on their shoulders. For these promotions, the Home Department has created one new ex-cadre quota at DG rank and three at IG rank.

Two DGP rank officers in Uttarakhand

With this promotion, IPS Deepam Seth and PVK Prasad (currently ADG rank) will be able to get promotion to DG (Director General of Police) rank on ex-cadre post. On the other hand, five IPS officers of 2007 batch will get promotion to IG (Inspector General of Police) level. However, two of the officers who got promotion are out of the state on deputation. While the remaining three officers Yogendra Rawat, Janmejaya Khanduri and Senthil Abudai will get promotion.

Two will be promoted to DIG and three to SSP rank

In the police department, two IPS officers of 2011 batch will be promoted to DIG rank. In terms of seniority, Dhirendra Gunjyal and Mukesh Kumar are going to get promoted. On the other hand, Prahlad Meena, Yashwant Chauhan and Preeti Priyadarshini of 2012 batch are becoming eligible for SSP rank.

Gift to IPS Sweety Agarwal

On one hand, the Home Department is preparing for promotion, on the other hand, the Union Home Ministry has also empanelled IPS Sweety Agarwal of Uttarakhand cadre at IG rank. With this, now during deputation, IPS Sweety Agarwal will be able to take posting at IG level only.
