Dehradun: There is good news for PPS officers in the state who have been waiting for promotion for a long time. Preparations have been started at the government level for the promotion of PPS cadre officers. The special thing is that this time a large number of PPS officers are to be promoted. The reason for this is also the new posts approved, on which the government can soon call a DPC meeting.
PPS officers are to be promoted on 8900 grade pay in the state. Senior PPS officers will get a chance for this. At present, there will be promotions for 8900 grade pay on two vacant posts. However, no PPS officer is going to get promotion on the grade pay of 10000. The reason for this is that no PPS officer is able to complete his services accordingly.
On the other hand, senior PPS officers in the state are also going to be promoted to the IPS rank. These officers have also been waiting to go to the IPS rank for a long time. This time Sarita Doval and Harish Verma are to be promoted to IPS.
In the promotion of PPS officers, apart from 8700 grade pay and 7600 grade pay, there are promotions on 6600 grade pay as well. Four PPS officers will get the benefit of promotion on 8700 grade pay. Similarly, DPC of 11 officers of 7600 grade pay is to be held. In this, 11 PPS officers will get promotion after DPC on the basis of seniority. Apart from this, 12 promotions are also pending on 6600 grade pay, but only 11 officers are expected to get the benefit of promotion. The reason behind this is that only 11 officers fulfill the eligibility for the required service period.
The special thing is that after these promotions, the posts on the lower posts will also become vacant. In such a situation, the officers on the remaining posts will also get the benefit of promotion in future in relation to the vacant post.
