Punjab: 10 IAS & 22 PCS Officers Reshuffled, Vikas Pratap Appointed ACS-Financial Commissioner of Governance Reforms & Public Grievances

The Punjab Government has announced the immediate transfer and posting of 10 IAS officers and 22 PCS officers.

Some of the notable transferees are:

  • Mr. Vikas Pratap, a 1994-batch Punjab cadre IAS officer, has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner, Governance Reforms, and Public Grievances. Additionally, he has been assigned the charge of Commissioner, Excise, relieving Mr. Sarvjit Singh, IAS, of the additional charge.
  • Mr. Alok Shekhar, a 1994-batch Punjab cadre IAS officer, has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary, Jails, and in addition, as the Additional Chief Secretary, Justice, Social Justice, Empowerment & Minorities, and Cooperation. She takes over the role of Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperation, against a vacant post.
  • Mr. Ajay Kumar Sinha, a 1996-batch Punjab cadre IAS officer, has been designated as the Principal Secretary, Finance, and in addition, Principal Secretary, Power, Principal Secretary, New & Renewable Energy, and Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Punjab State Transmission Corporation Ltd. He takes over these responsibilities, relieving Mr. Rahul Tiwari, IAS, of the additional charges.
  • Mr. Kumar Rahul, a 2000-batch Punjab cadre IAS officer, has been appointed as the Administrative Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, and in addition, Administrative Secretary, Medical Education & Research, relieving Mr. Ravi Bhagat, IAS, of the additional charge.
  • Ms. Priyank Bharti, a 2001-batch Punjab cadre IAS officer, has been assigned as the Administrative Secretary, Science, Technology & Environment, and in addition, Administrative Secretary, Forests & Wildlife Preservation, relieving Mr. Sarvjit Singh, IAS, of the additional charge.
