Rajasthan: Six IAS Officers Transferred, Naveen Mahajan Appoint Chief Electoral Officer

Jaipur: On July 2nd, the government of Rajasthan transferred six senior IAS officers across the state. Mr. Praveen Gupta (1995 batch), last posted as the state’s Chief Electoral Officer, was transferred as the Principal Secretary of the Public Works Department (PWD). Mr. Sandeep Verma (1993 batch), last posted as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the PWD, was transferred to the Rajasthan State Warehousing Corporation.

Mr. Naveen Mahajan (1997 batch), last posted as the CMD of the warehousing corporation, was asked to assume charge as the new Chief Electoral Officer. Mr. Rohit Gupta (2006 batch) was appointed Commissioner of Industries and CSR and the Bureau of Investment Promotion.

Mr. Prakash Chandra Sharma (2010), the incumbent executive director of Rajasthan Urban Drinking Water Sewerage and Infrastructure Corporation Ltd (RUDSICO) and project director of Rajasthan Urban Infrastructure Development Project (RUIDP), was transferred to the Chief Minister’s office as the CM’s Officer on Special Duty (OSD).

Mr. Himanshu Gupta (2012 batch), last posted as Commissioner of Industries and CSR and Bureau of Investment Promotion, was transferred as the MD of the Rural Non-farm Development Agency (RUDA).
