Relief given to Kedarnath heavy rain affected people, Dhami government released Rs 56.30 lakh, DM had sent the proposal

Dehradun: After the disaster in Kedarnath Dham on July 31, the roads are damaged at many places. The pedestrian and motor road from Lincholi to Sonprayag was damaged, causing heavy losses to the businessmen. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami had earlier approved a relief amount of Rs 9 crore 8 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the affected businessmen. Now an additional relief amount of Rs 56.30 lakh has been approved.

Additional amount of Rs 56.30 lakh released

Secretary Chief Minister Shailesh Bagauli has issued a letter to the District Magistrate Rudraprayag, in which it has been clarified that on his request an amount of Rs 56.30 lakh has been approved. This amount is in addition to the previously approved Rs 9 crore 8 lakh.

Secretary to Chief Minister Shailesh Bagauli said that after due deliberation at the government level in reference to the proposal, it was decided on the instructions of the Chief Minister that the above amount is approved as per the proposal received from District Magistrate Rudraprayag for compensation of heavy rain affected people from Lincholi to Sonprayag from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Payment will be made through e-banking and demand draft

He said that before making payment of the approved amount to the affected people, the cases will be tested as per the provisions made in the government orders and after verifying the affected people as per the rules and on being fully satisfied, payment will be ensured through e-banking. Whereas, those who do not have the facility of e-banking, the amount will be distributed through demand draft.
