Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd.) extended Republic Day greetings to the people of the state. The Governor paid tribute to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, and the framers of the Constitution. The Governor said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is setting new records of development in every field. India has made its strong presence felt on the world stage in the fields of digital economy, startup culture, defense production, space technology, green energy, and military power. He said that Devbhoomi Uttarakhand has also participated with full potential in India’s journey of progress. Excellent work has been done in the state in the areas of infrastructure, roads, rail, air connectivity, digital services, and investment. With the coordination of the central and state governments, the state is rapidly touching new dimensions of development. The Governor said that yoga and Ayurveda are the soul of the state. The state is being developed as a land of yoga and a wellness hub. We have resolved to make Devbhoomi Uttarakhand a global center of spirituality. He said that the women of Uttarakhand and our daughters are hoisting the flag of success in every field, from education, the armed forces, and sports to entrepreneurship. Through the UCC, Uttarakhand has given its mothers, sisters, and daughters a legal shield of security and equality. The use of technology in the state is rapidly increasing in administrative transparency, disaster management, health services, and education.
Republic Day is the great festival of the making of the Constitution: Chief Minister
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended Republic Day greetings to the people of the state. Paying tribute to the freedom fighters, the framers of the Constitution, and the statehood movement activists, the Chief Minister said that Republic Day is the great festival of the making of our Constitution.
The Chief Minister said that this occasion inspires us to fulfill the dreams of the freedom fighters and to remain committed to our goals. It is the responsibility of all of us to always remain committed to the fundamental democratic ideals of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity in accordance with the objectives of the Constitution. The state government is fully committed to realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making India a developed nation by 2047 and transforming Devbhoomi Uttarakhand into the best state in the country. Prime Minister Modi has declared the third decade of the 21st century as the decade of Uttarakhand. This inspiring statement has infused new energy and enthusiasm among the people of the state.
The state government has given top priority to public service. The government’s objective is to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach the last person in society. By implementing a Uniform Civil Code, Uttarakhand has paved the way for other states in the country. Effective steps have been taken to preserve the original character of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. With better management of pilgrimages, high-quality infrastructure facilities related to religious tourism are being rapidly developed, resulting in a continuous increase in the number of devotees visiting the Char Dham pilgrimage.
