In 1986, he cleared the exam and joined the 1987 batch of IPS officers.

Over the decades, Saxena held key positions, including:

  • Superintendent of Police in Chhindwara, Raigarh, Ratlam, Jabalpur, and other districts.
  • Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh (2012–2014).
  • Chief of Intelligence (2014–2016).
  • Director General of CISF, before he was appointed Madhya Pradesh DGP in 2022.

Saxena’s career has been marked by professionalism and dedication, culminating in his leadership as the state’s top police officer.

Sonakshi Saxena: Following in Her Father’s Footsteps

Born on December 11, 1992, Sonakshi Saxena shares her father’s passion for public service. After earning her LLB, she decided to pursue the UPSC Civil Services Examination, which she cleared in 2019. She was inducted into the IPS in 2020.

Sonakshi’s assignments include:

  • Serving as Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in Indore.
  • Her current role is DCP Intelligence in Bhopal.
