State agitators met CM on getting 10 percent horizontal reservation, expressed gratitude to Dhami

Dehradun: Officials of Uttarakhand State Aandolankari Manch met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday at Mukhya Sevak Sadan located at Chief Minister’s residence. Everyone expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for the arrangement of providing 10 percent horizontal reservation in government service for state agitators. The Chief Minister said that our goal is to make Uttarakhand of the dreams of state agitators. In this direction, we are working promptly with a resolution without any alternative. The people of the state will always remember the struggle of state agitators in the formation of the state. He said that he has also been a witness to the state formation movement, he has seen the public movement of Khatima himself.

The Chief Minister said that the state government can never forget the struggle and sacrifice of the state agitators. Our government is working with commitment towards the development of the state in accordance with their dreams, giving top priority to their facilities. He said that the state government had decided to give 10 percent reservation in government jobs to the state agitators and all their dependents. Despite all the difficulties, horizontal reservation has now been implemented. This has also fulfilled a big pending demand of the state agitators. The Chief Minister said that along with increasing the pension of the state agitators, the state government has also decided to give pension to their dependents after their death. We cannot forget the sacrifice of the martyred state agitators. The Chief Minister said that our state is continuously moving forward in the direction of development. The state has been ranked first in the development index released by NITI Aayog. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state is continuously moving ahead on the path of progress. Central schemes worth about 2 lakh crores are being worked on in the state. Whether it is road construction, school construction or hospital or any work in the interest of the state, there will be no shortage of any kind of funds for this. He said that we are moving towards making the state a drug-free state and for this, not only the government but everyone will have to cooperate.

The Chief Minister said that along with the development of the state, attention is also being paid to environmental protection. In the investor summit held last year, a large number of industrialists are coming to the state for investment. This will provide employment opportunities to our youth in the state itself and will also stop migration. He said that while solving the problem of illegal encroachment in the state, about 5000 acres of land has been freed from encroachment. The Chief Minister also expected everyone to cooperate in the development of the state.

During the meeting, Uttarakhand State Movement Forum President Jagmohan Singh Negi, former Vice President of Uttarakhand State Movement Welfare Council Ravindra Jugran, Uttarakhand State Spokesperson Pradeep Kukreti and a large number of Forum officials were present.
