Noida. We want to make Devbhoomi the best state in the country. We will not compromise on this at any level. This was stated by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami while addressing the people present at the Mahakauthig event being held at Noida Stadium.
CM Dhami reiterated his commitment to the overall development, security, and cultural preservation of the state. Dhami said that approximately 70 percent of the state’s infrastructure work has been completed through the Amrit, All-Weather Road, and Udan projects.
After the completion of the first phase of work, the trial run of the rail service will begin, which will fulfill his long-cherished dream of bringing the railway to the mountains. He mentioned several important projects to boost the local economy and tourism. He also mentioned programs that give special recognition to the women of the state, the Apple Mission, and various policy-making initiatives.
Government is strict on Love Jihad and Religious Conversion
Dhami said that these achievements are not only important for development but also for the cultural and demographic security of Uttarakhand. No kind of illegal activities will be tolerated in Devbhoomi. Religious conversion, love jihad, and ideologies that spread violence will have no place in the state. The Chief Minister said that the government has enacted strict laws for this, such as the anti-conversion law, and action is being taken on them without any pressure.
‘An example for the country in cultural preservation’
In Uttarakhand, the law is equally applicable to everyone. The state’s culture and law and order will not be allowed to be jeopardized at any cost. Taking a dig at the Congress, he said that they are not concerned about the culture of Uttarakhand. They only see vote banks.
During the Congress rule, those who could pose a threat to the state’s cultural and social heritage were safe. Now, not an inch of Uttarakhand’s land will go into the hands of anyone with a wrong mindset. The state government is committed to making Uttarakhand a state that sets an example for the country in development, security, and cultural preservation. Uttarakhand’s Achievements at the National Level
The Chief Minister proudly announced that Uttarakhand secured the first position nationwide in the NITI Aayog’s 2023 rankings. Furthermore, the state achieved the top position across the country in increasing farmers’ income and also won the national award for the best state. He stated that all these achievements are a testament to Uttarakhand’s overall development and cultural preservation.
Strict Stance on Law and Order
Dhami made it clear that activities such as religious conversions, love jihad, and cheating mafias will not be tolerated in Uttarakhand. He said, “As long as I am here, not an inch of Uttarakhand’s land will fall into the hands of those with malicious intentions.” The strict laws enacted in the state are equally applicable to all. Action is also being taken against those who tarnish the image of Devbhoomi (Land of Gods) through initiatives like Operation Kalnemi.
Uniform Civil Code and Social Unity
Dhami stated that the Uniform Civil Code will prove to be a beneficial initiative for the entire country, starting from Uttarakhand. He emphasized that uniform laws are applicable to people of all classes and communities in the state, and this will be further strengthened in the future.
Appeal to Non-Resident Uttarakhandis
The Chief Minister appealed to non-resident Uttarakhandis to preserve the culture and traditions of Devbhoomi. He said, “Our ancestors belonged to Devbhoomi, and we want their legacy to remain safe.”
