Swadeshi Pledge Run Organized on Swami Vivekananda’s Birth Anniversary, CM Dhami Flags Off the Event

Dehradun: A Swadeshi Pledge Run was organized on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary to promote the Swadeshi (indigenous) movement. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Swadeshi Pledge Run program organized by the BJP Yuva Morcha (BJP Youth Wing) at Gandhi Park in Dehradun. During the event, the CM flagged off the Swadeshi Pledge Run, sending off the participants. During the program, the CM honored representatives of various organizations working in the field of Swadeshi. The main objective of the Swadeshi Pledge Run was to encourage the adoption of indigenous products.

During the program, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended his best wishes to everyone on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the flag bearer of India’s great tradition, the Rishi tradition, and a source of inspiration for the youth. The CM said that it was a privilege for him to be among the youth at this Swadeshi Pledge Run. These young people are sources of energy, and the energy within them, after spreading throughout the world, returns to the world, which works to increase energy. The CM said that today is a day to reflect on the power, resolve, and potential of India’s youth.

The CM said that Swami Vivekananda had said, “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is achieved, and keep striving until the goal is attained.” This message of Swami Vivekananda is like a mantra for all the youth today. Vivekananda had described the youth as the strong foundation of nation-building. Today, India is moving forward with this idea and mantra. The youth are not only the present but also the future of the country. In this way, the energy, thinking, and hard work of the youth will play a crucial role in realizing the resolve to make India a developed nation by 2047. This Swadeshi Pledge Run is not just an event, but a step taken by the youth towards a self-reliant India.

CM Dhami congratulated the youth on Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary. He also paid tribute to him, saying that Swami Vivekananda is a source of inspiration for the youth. Today, India is also the youngest country in the world, where 65 percent of the population is under 42 years of age. In this context, India is one of the youngest countries in the world. Currently, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country’s youth are getting opportunities for innovation. Innovation is being promoted by focusing on youth in the fields of education, employment, and self-employment. To connect the youth of the state with employment, 27,000 young people have been given government jobs in the last four years, which is a record in itself.

Magisterial inquiry ordered into farmer’s death: On the death of farmer Sukhwant Singh in Haldwani, CM Dhami said that this is a very sad incident, and an inquiry has been ordered. Therefore, a magisterial inquiry is underway in this matter. Action will be taken against whoever is found guilty in this case. CM Dhami said that this investigation is proceeding in a transparent manner, and the truth of the entire matter will be revealed soon.

Meanwhile, in Mussoorie, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi offered floral tributes and garlands at the statue of Swami Vivekananda installed at Kishanpur Tirahe on Mussoorie Road on the occasion of National Youth Day and Swami Vivekananda Jayanti. In the program organized on the occasion of National Youth Day, Chandni, Smriti, Muskan, Kajal, and Rupa, who participated in the captivating dance performance, were honored with certificates and medals by the Agriculture Minister.
