The reshuffle, effective immediately, aims to streamline operations and optimize efficiency within the state’s administrative machinery.
Here’s a rundown of the notable transfers and appointments:
2002 batch IAS officer Reeta Harish Thakkar has been reassigned from Secretary to Government, Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, and Minorities Welfare Department to Secretary to Government, Public and Rehabilitation Department, succeeding K. Nanthakumar who now assumes the role of Secretary to Government, Human Resources Management Department, replacing S. Nagarajan.
2005 batch IAS officer S. Nagarajan transitions to Secretary to Government (Expenditure), Finance Department, taking over from J. Kumaragurubaran, who held an additional charge.
Ms Sigy Thomas Vaidhyan, an IAS officer if 2002 batch, previously on leave, returns to assume the role of Secretary to Government, Welfare of Differently Abled Persons Department.
2007 batch IAS officer E. Saravanavelraj shifts from Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Housing Board to Commissioner of Geology and Mining, succeeding Pooja Kulkarni.
- Vijayaraj Kumar moves from Commissioner of Sugar and Chairman & Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Sugar Corporation, to Principal Secretary to Government, Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, and Minorities Welfare Department.
- Anbalagan is appointed as Director of Sugar and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Sugar Corporation, replacing C. Vijayaraj Kumar.
Brajendra Navnit, formerly Ambassador & Permanent Representative to India to the World Trade Organization, Geneva, assumes the role of Principal Secretary to Government, Commercial Taxes and Registration Department, and Officer on Special Duty, 16th Finance Commission, Chennai.
2012 batch IAS officer Mr G.S. Sameeran, Joint Commissioner (Works), Greater Chennai Corporation, is appointed as Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Housing Board.
2018 batch IAS officer V. Sivakrishnamurthy, Commissioner, Corporation of Erode, is assigned as Deputy Commissioner (Works) at Greater Chennai Corporation.
2003 batch IAS officer Pooja Kulkarni, Commissioner of Geology and Mining, is appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Tamil Nadu Infrastructure Development Board and Special Secretary to Government, Finance Department.
- Alarmelmangai, Additional Collector (Development)/ Project Officer, District Rural Development Agency, Salem, is designated as Executive Director of Guidance Tamil Nadu.
Lalitaditya Neelam, Managing Director, SAGOSERVE, Salem, is appointed as Additional Collector (Development)/ Project Officer at District Rural Development Agency, Salem.
