Following an order from the Tamil Nadu Government’s Home Department, senior IPS officer Seema Agrawal was mandated to assume charge as the Director General of Police (DGP) of Civil Services (CID) in Chennai. Officer Agrawal, who is a 1990-batch Tamil Nadu cadre IPS officer, had last served as the DGP/Chairperson of the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board.
IPS Seema Agrawal had earlier served as the Director of the State Fire & Rescue Services.
