Tehri and Uttarkashi DPROs’ orders to install number plates on houses cancelled on CM Dhami’s instructions

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has immediately cancelled the orders issued by the District Panchayat Raj Officers of Tehri Garhwal and Uttarkashi regarding the installation of number plates on houses, and has directed a thorough investigation into the matter and necessary action against the culprits.

It is noteworthy that letters went viral on social media regarding the District Panchayat Raj Officers of Tehri Garhwal and Uttarkashi districts assigning the task of installing number plates on houses to an outsider to promote programs like the Swachh Bharat Mission in rural areas.

While instructing to ensure that the employment and interests of local people are fully taken into account in all works, the Chief Minister reiterated that Rs. Government orders to give top priority to local residents in government acquisitions up to ₹10 crore must be strictly enforced at all levels.
