Tehri: CM Dhami inaugurated the Siddhpeeth Kunjapuri Tourism Development Fair.

Tehri: On Monday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami arrived in Tehri Garhwal district and hoisted the flag for the nine-day 49th Kunjapuri Tourism and Development Fair, declaring it open. He also inaugurated the development exhibition, inspected stalls set up by various departments, and garlanded the statues of immortal martyrs and the Freedom Struggle Martyrs Memorial.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami approved the construction of remaining flood protection works (approximately 400 meters) at Dhalwala, construction of surface parking and approach road at Kharasrot Gadera in Munikireti under Kumbh Mela 2027, reconstruction of canals damaged by natural calamity in Narendranagar, construction of community hall in Nagar Panchayat Tapovan, establishment of Sub Registrar Office in Narendranagar, reconstruction of 6 houses in Valmiki Basti, construction of community hall in Pavki Devi (Dogi), extension of community hall in Narendranagar Kumhar Kheda, paving of road to Kumhar Kheda community hall, reconstruction of road from Pant’s shop to sugar warehouse in Municipality Muni ki Reti-Dhalwala, approval of anesthesia work machine (automatic ventilator) at Shridev Suman Sub District Hospital, establishment of an ANM Training Center in Narendranagar, approval of adequate funds for beautification of Bhuvneshwari Devi Temple Hardisera and Pawali Devi Temple. The Chief Minister stated that the demands for the construction of a parking lot in Gullarbogi and check dams in Mansera, Bhagodi, and Bhaintola Tok on the Whale River would be included in the Chief Minister’s announcements.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while congratulating and wishing everyone on the occasion of the fair, said that the blessings and grace of Mother Kunjapuri remain upon us all. He said that this historic fair is a symbol of folk faith, cultural heritage, and glorious tradition. Held continuously since 1974, this fair has been a catalyst for trade, regional development, and tourism. India’s identity is rooted in its eternal culture and values. Our culture is not merely a matter of customs; it is a positive ideology that inspires us in new ways.

The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Singh Modi, the work of preserving and preserving India’s glorious cultural heritage is being done effectively. Under his guidance, the state government is committed to the overall development of Uttarakhand and is continuously working to preserve religious sites and maintain its identity.

The Chief Minister stated that migration is a major problem, and significant plans are underway to curb it, strengthen the local economy, and promote tourism. Through the House of Himalaya brand, local products are gaining widespread recognition both domestically and internationally. Policies such as the Farm Machinery Bank, Film Policy, Apple Mission, and Homestays are all working to strengthen the local economy.

The Chief Minister stated that Uttarakhand is the first state in the country to implement the Uniform Civil Code. Furthermore, by implementing a strong anti-copying law, over 26,000 youth have been provided transparent employment in the last four years. He mentioned initiatives such as prevention of religious conversions and demolition of illegal encroachments, which have given the state a new status and recognition. The state government is committed to making Uttarakhand a leading state.

The state’s Forest, Technical Education, Language and Election and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Subodh Uniyal said that Maa Kunjapuri fair not only promotes our culture and tradition but also provides a big platform to get acquainted with the culture of the country and the state. This fair is continuously moving forward towards sports and development with the cooperation of all.
