Dehradun: Road accidents are not stopping in Uttarakhand. The latest case has come to light from Rudraprayag district. A tempo traveller fell into the Alaknanda river on the Badrinath Highway in Rudraprayag. 12 people are reported dead in this road accident. Many people have been injured in this accident. 7 injured were airlifted to Rishikesh, out of which two died. 9 injured are being treated in Rudraprayag itself. At the same time, reactions are coming from all over the country after this vehicle accident in Rudraprayag. PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Health Minister JP Nadda have expressed grief over the Rudraprayag bus accident. Home Minister Amit Shah wrote on social media platform X, ‘Received the sad news of the road accident in Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand, my condolences are with the families of those who lost their lives in this accident. The local administration and SDRF teams are engaged in relief and rescue work. All possible help is being provided to the injured. I pray to God for the speedy recovery of the injured.’
12 people died
The administration is busy gathering information about the Rudraprayag Tempo Traveler accident. It is being told that at the time of the accident, about 26 people were in the tempo traveler. This horrific road accident took place near Rentoli on the Badrinath Highway. As soon as the local people got the information about the Rudraprayag Tempo Traveler accident, everyone immediately reached the spot. The police administration was informed about the incident, after which the rescue operation was started on the spot.

So far, 12 people have been reported dead in the Rudraprayag Tempo Traveler accident. A total of 14 injured are being treated at AIIMS Rishikesh and Rudraprayag District Hospital. After the incident, CM Dhami has ordered an inquiry into the accident.
