Dehradun : Now only two days are left for the doors of Kedarnath Dham located in Rudraprayag district to be closed. The process of closing the doors of Baba Kedar has started. On Wednesday, October 29, the doors of Bhakunt Bhairavnath, the protector of Kedarnath Dham, have been closed. The next day, i.e. on Wednesday, October 30, the Panch Panda Committee removed the gold umbrella from the sanctum sanctorum of the temple and kept it in the store room.
Kedarnath’s doors will be closed on Sunday
Kedarnath’s doors will be closed on November 3: This year the Char Dham Yatra started on May 10. Along with Gangotri and Yamunotri Dhams, the doors of Kedarnath Dham were also opened on the same day. Baba Kedarnath Dham, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, is visited by the maximum number of devotees every year. However, this time in the month of July, heavy rains and landslides put a break on the yatra. Despite this, a large number of devotees reached Kedarnath Dham.
So many devotees visited Kedarnath
Till the evening of Thursday, October 31, more than 16 lakh devotees have visited Baba Kedarnath. On Thursday, 12 thousand 225 devotees visited Kedarnath. These included 7 thousand 248 men and 4 thousand 900 women. 77 children also visited Kedarnath Dham. In this way, this year so far 16,02,144 (16 lakh 2 thousand 144) devotees have visited Baba Kedar till the last date of October.
So many devotees came last year
Last year more than 19 lakh devotees came to Kedarnath: In the year 2023, more than 19 lakh 61 thousand devotees visited Kedarnath. In the year 2023, the doors of Kedarnath were opened on 25 April. The Yatra was completed on 15 November 2023. That is, last year the Yatra period was more than this year.

The doors of Kedarnath Dham will be closed on November 3 on Bhaiya Dooj after Diwali. The auspicious time for closing the doors is at 8.30 am. With this, the doors of Baba Kedar will be closed for the winter.

Kedarnath Dham has been decorated with 10 quintals of flowers for the ceremony of closing the doors. The doors of the third Kedar Tungnath will also be closed on November 4, the next day after the doors of Lord Kedarnath are closed for winter. Along with this, the doors of Badrinath Dham will be closed on November 17. The doors of the second Kedar Madmaheshwar will be closed for winter on November 20.
