The Chief Electoral Officer held a meeting with District Magistrates regarding the Special Election Commission (SIR), urging them to communicate with voters through the “BLO Outreach Campaign.”

Dehradun: Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B.V.R.C. Purushottam held a review meeting with District Magistrates of all districts via virtual mode at the Secretariat. The meeting included a detailed review of preparations for the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR), reaching out to every voter at the district and ERO level, and the Booth Awareness Group (BAG). The CEO directed that Booth Level Officers should establish contact, coordination, and communication with voters in their areas under the “BLO Outreach Campaign.” He instructed District Magistrates to monitor the regular visits of BLOs and provide regular reports to the CEO’s office. The CEO directed that any voter queries received through the voter helpline number should be resolved at all costs. Help desks should be effectively established in the district and ERO offices and the responsibility of the officers in charge should be fixed for this.
