Dehradun: The Dhami government in Uttarakhand has taken a major decision and finally implemented the revised rules for regularization. Under this, employees who have worked in the state for 10 years until the due date can now be regularized. Find out which employees will benefit from the revised rules and when.
The Dhami government has finally taken a decision on a long-pending issue in Uttarakhand. In a significant decision, the state government has amended the Regularization Rules-2013 and issued the Revised Regularization Rules-2025 for daily wage, work-charged, contract, fixed pay, part-time, and ad-hoc employees.
Personnel Secretary Shailesh Bagoli issued a notification in this regard on Friday. According to the revised rules, upon fulfilling other conditions, those daily wage, work-charged, contract, fixed pay, part-time, and ad-hoc employees who have completed at least 10 years of continuous service in that post or an equivalent post by December 4, 2018, will be eligible for regularization. Prior to the amendment, the provision was that, upon fulfilling the other conditions outlined in the regulations, those personnel appointed on daily wages, work-charge, contract, fixed pay, part-time, and ad-hoc positions who had completed at least five years of continuous service in that position or an equivalent position as of the date of promulgation of the 2013 regulations were eligible for regularization. However, the Uttarakhand High Court stayed this five-year regulation, and the matter has been pending since 2018. However, the amended regulations have now been implemented, extending the time limit to 10 years. Meanwhile, UPNL employees are also demanding regularization after the enactment of these regulations and are urging the government to seriously consider this matter.
