Chamoli: The doors of Badrinath Dham will close for the winter season on Tuesday, November 25th, at 2:56 pm. As part of the closing ceremony, the Panch Pujas will begin tomorrow, Friday. Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee Chairman Hemant Dwivedi provided this information.
As part of the closing ceremony, Lord Ganesha will be worshipped on November 21st, the first day of the Panch Pujas. The doors of Lord Ganesha will be closed in the evening on the same day. On the second day, November 22nd, the doors of the Adi Kedareshwar Temple and the Shankaracharya Temple will close. On the third day, November 23rd, the sword-book worship and the recitation of Vedic verses will end.
Following this, on the fourth day, November 24th, the Kadhai Bhoga will be offered to Goddess Lakshmi. And on November 25th, at 2:56 pm, the doors of Badrinath Dham will close for the winter season. On the morning of November 26th, the throne of Adi Guru Shankaracharya, along with Kubera and Uddhav, will depart for their winter residence at Pandukeshwar and the Shri Nrisimha Temple, Joshimath.
Shri Uddhav and Kubera will stay at the throne in Pandukeshwar during the winter season, while the throne of Adi Guru Shankaracharya will arrive at the Shri Nrisimha Temple, Jyotirmath, on November 27th. BKTC media in-charge Dr. Harish Gaur stated that the temple will be decorated with flowers to mark the closing of the doors.
