Dehradun: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched the “Healthy Women Empowered Family” and “8th National Nutrition Month” campaigns from Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. He also laid the foundation stone and launched other initiatives and addressed the gathering.
The campaign will be held from September 17th to October 2nd at Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, Community Health Centers (CHCs), district hospitals, and other government health facilities across the country. More than one lakh health camps will be organized, making it the largest health campaign for women and children in the country. Health camps will be held daily at all government health centers across the country.
Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (retd) and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, along with other dignitaries, were present virtually in Dehradun to launch the “Healthy Women, Empowered Family” and “8th National Nutrition Month” campaigns. Held at the Government Doon Medical College, the Governor and Chief Minister inspected each stall.
Speaking to reporters after the event, the Governor said, “Only healthy and aware women can give society a new direction. This campaign is the foundation for the strength of both family and society.” He called on the public to actively participate in this campaign and transform it into a mass movement, so that every woman has access to comprehensive healthcare and can live a respectable, safe, and healthy life.
He said that the vision of our family head is our greatest inspiration. His every word and every thought clearly reflects that his heart is dedicated to women empowerment, youth empowerment, farmers, and the poor. His vision gives us confidence that India is rapidly progressing towards becoming a developed nation, a self-reliant India, and a world leader by 2047.
The Governor said that today he felt particularly pleased that the stream of ideas emerging from Madhya Pradesh, a part of our nation, will lead the entire country towards a new transformation and renaissance. Today’s biggest message is that we all must embrace Swadeshi, and everything we do must be Swadeshi. I firmly believe that this resolution will usher in a great revolution. The Governor said that when the families of Uttarakhand, our women’s self-help groups, and our production lines have made progress in the areas of quality, branding, and packaging, they will embrace the Swadeshi mantra, and this change will surely take the form of a revolution.
Speaking to the media after the event, the Chief Minister wished the Prime Minister a happy birthday and prayed for his good health and long life. The Chief Minister said that under the Prime Minister’s leadership, the country has witnessed all-round development. During this period, Uttarakhand has received the Prime Minister’s support in all areas, including the Chardham project and the expansion of air services.
He said that the Prime Minister has always supported Uttarakhand during times of disaster, whether it was the Raini disaster, Joshimath, Silkarya, or this year’s natural disaster. He added that the Prime Minister has always supported the state and encouraged our efforts. He added that today, along with Vishwakarma Jayanti, is also Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. The Health Department has launched the “Healthy Women, Empowered Families” campaign on this occasion. The Health Department has made extensive preparations for this campaign, which will continue until October 2nd, so mothers and sisters of the state can take advantage of it.
The Chief Minister said that the mother power has made a significant contribution to the state’s development. Women are now showcasing their skills in homestays and other self-employment ventures, making it crucial for women to be healthy. The Chief Minister said that the pilgrimage to Badrinath, Kedarnath, and Gangotri shrines has resumed smoothly in the state. Soon, the route to Yamunotri shrine will also be opened, and the pilgrimage will resume.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Smt. Rekha Arya, MP Smt. Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah, MLAs Khajan Das, Vinod Chamoli, Smt. Savita Kapoor, Suresh Gadiya, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar and a large number of people were present.
