Chamoli DM Sandeep Tiwari reached Gopinath temple located in the district headquarters Gopeshwar. His newly-wed bride was also with him. Both took blessings from Lord Gopinath. Before this, Sandeep Tiwari did a court marriage with Doctor Pooja Dalakoti. The court marriage took place on 28 April. After the court marriage, both took blessings from God. Chamoli DM Sandeep Tiwari said that-
Inspired by the traditional wedding customs of our home state Himachal, we decided to get married in the temple. I talked to Pooja about this. Pooja also agreed to this. After this, we got married in court and took blessings in the temple.

Dr. Pooja Dalakoti, wife of Chamoli DM Sandeep Tiwari, believes that-

This young couple first got their marriage registered in the court. After that the newlyweds reached the Lord Gopinath temple in Gopeshwar and took blessings after taking darshan.

He has been in government service in Uttarakhand for 6 years. First he was SDM and then CDO and MD Kumaon Mandal in Nainital and is currently the District Magistrate of Chamoli. On 28 April, the District Magistrate of Chamoli married Dr. Pooja Dalakoti, a resident of Haldwani.
Who is Sandeep Tiwari?
Sandeep Tiwari is a 2017 batch IAS officer, who has got Uttarakhand cadre. He is originally a resident of Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. He has been doing administrative service in Uttarakhand for about 6 years. First of all, Sandeep Tiwari served as SDM in Uttarakhand. After this, he was the Chief Development Officer (CDO) of Nainital. He has also been the MD of Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN). Currently, he is serving as the District Magistrate of Chamoli district. On 7 September 2024, he took over as the District Magistrate of Chamoli district.
