Dehradun: Taking seriousness on the defaulters in the state, the government is going to run a campaign for recovery. Revenue Council Chairman Anand Vardhan took a meeting of the Divisional Commissioner and District Magistrates of the districts and took information about the defaulters. During this, Anand Vardhan also issued necessary guidelines while reviewing various works through video conferencing. In the meeting, Anand Vardhan asked the District Magistrates to take action at their level for recovery from the ten big defaulters of the state.
During the meeting, Revenue Council Chairman Anand Vardhan gave instructions for 100 percent recovery of main dues and miscellaneous dues within the stipulated time. Whereas in the districts where recovery is not as per the standard, it has also been asked to recover by running a special campaign. During the review meeting, it was also asked to settle the pending revenue cases in the subordinate revenue court. It was also clarified that the process of disposal should be adopted as soon as possible in those courts where cases are pending for more than three to five years.
The District Magistrate has also been asked to inspect the revenue archives in the districts and tehsils. Instructions were also given to see whether the records are being updated on time and what is the status of their security. During the meeting, the District Magistrates were asked to ensure action on works like pending pension cases of retired personnel, convention for recruitment of employees and notified services under the Right to Service within a fixed time frame, settlement of audit objections and fulfilling the announcements of the Chief Minister.
