The process of forming the Chardham Yatra Authority will be completed by January 30, digital technology will be used for registration, Dhami gave instructions

Dehradun: After the completion of Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra 2024, now the Uttarakhand government is focusing on winter travel. At the same time, the government has started preparing for the Chardham Yatra of the coming year 2025. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence on Friday regarding the preparation of Chardham Yatra. During the meeting, CM Dhami gave all the necessary guidelines to the officials related to the Chardham Yatra arrangements. Also, emphasis was laid on the development of facilities in Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.

Instructed to complete the preparations from now on for better operation of the upcoming Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand and to make the journey smooth for the passengers. To strengthen all the arrangements of Chardham Yatra, all the processes of forming the Travel Authority should be completed by January 30, 2025. For this, by January 15, a meeting should be held with the pilgrimage priests and stakeholders of the four Dhams and their suggestions should be taken. Whatever can be done better for travel management should be done by taking suggestions from the pilgrimage priests and stakeholders. Along with this, digital technology should be used to strengthen the travel registration system.

The CM said that the journey to these four Dhams of Uttarakhand is a journey related to the honor and respect of the state. In such a situation, in view of the upcoming Chardham Yatra, preparations should be completed keeping in mind all kinds of facilities for the passengers, traffic management, carrying capacity of the Dhams for the development of infrastructure facilities, all arrangements on the travel routes and all other aspects. Last year, a large number of devotees had arrived in the Chardham Yatra. Keeping this in mind, prepare an action plan and work. The CM said that at the places where there is a system of stopping vehicles on the Chardham Yatra routes, adequate parking arrangements should be made at those places along with hotels, drinking water, toilets, cleanliness and all other basic necessities.

Attention should also be paid to the development of mythological, spiritual and historical sites around the four Dhams. The Chief Minister said that continuous work should be done towards improving the travel arrangements at the winter stay places of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. Better arrangements during the winter travel will also ensure orderly arrangements during the Chardham Yatra. Along with the development of mythological areas around the winter stay places of these four Dhams of the state, the importance of Panch Badri and Panch Kedar should also be conveyed to the people.
