Dehradun: Uttarakhand’s GDP has increased 1.3 times in twenty months. Uttarakhand’s state gross domestic product was Rs 2.74 lakh crore in 2021-22. In 2023-24, it increased to Rs 3.46 lakh crore. The tourism and manufacturing sectors have seen the highest increase in economic growth rate.

On Wednesday, Secretary Planning R Meenakshi Sundaram gave this information in a press conference. He said that the unemployment rate of Uttarakhand has also declined. In 2023-24, there was a decline of 19.9% ​​between 15 and 29 years. At the same time, per capita income increased by 26%. In 21-22, 1.84 lakh also increased to Rs 2.60 lakh.

He said that Uttarakhand’s GDP will double five years ago. It was told that the amendment in the Chief Minister’s Solar Energy Policy has made it a game changer scheme. In 2018-19, three megawatt plants were installed. Whereas after changing the policy and linking it to MSME, 174 megawatt projects are under construction.
