The Uttarakhand government on Friday issued an important order and changed the post of Director of Youth Welfare. According to the order, now IAS officer Prashant Kumar Arya has been given the responsibility of the post of Director of Youth Welfare in the state. Earlier this responsibility was being looked after by IRS officer Jitendra Kumar Sonkar. Jitendra Kumar Sonkar was also looking after the responsibility as Additional Secretary in Youth Welfare. In such a situation, now he has been removed from the post of Director of Youth Welfare.

On the other hand, IAS officer Prashant Kumar Arya is already looking after the responsibilities of many big and important departments. Prashant Arya is looking after the responsibility of Child Development and Women Welfare Department as Additional Secretary. Along with this, he also has the responsibility of Integrated Child Development Project, Women Welfare and Sports as Director.
